This album has 8 tracks including one Jason Isbell cover song, one song co-written by my wife and I, and the rest are written by me. The album was co-produced by Seattle-based Jonathan Plum and myself. The album runs just over 38 minutes, and spans from bluegrass sounds to Americana, country-folk, alt-country, and blues. It was recorded over the span of about 1.5 years, mostly at London Bridge Studio up here in Seattle, as well as some spots around LA. I made a point to include some of the best musicians I know personally and professionally and also brought in Caleb Melo (Steel player for Jesse Daniel) members from the LA bluegass band Water Tower, and my good friend, Ben Rice out of Oregon to play lead guitar on some songs. This album is meant to be a glimpse into my life and observations as a full-time working construction manager, father of two, husband, and weekend honky-tonk/dive bar performer.
